Just home from a Be School getaway in the New Forest - a chance for Rachel and I to stop, load some bows with arrows and talk late into the night about what we want to achieve with the birth and growth of our organisation.
.
At the heart of our mission is the wish to create opportunities for connection - to ourselves, others and the natural world. So many of us find ourselves burdened by stress, anxiety and overwhelm, and while the need to find connection to purpose and meaning is wired into us as humans, we don’t always have the tools for fulfilling those needs.
.
Our hope is that we can build our offering of talks, workshops and retreats to include online courses, meetups and spaces in which the bigger questions of life can be explored in an open and honest way, with everyone given the chance to experience presence and empowerment.
.
Our emphasis is on leading people to answer their own question of ‘who and how should I be?’ and to build resilience, creativity and purpose by discovering their own inner resources. We like to help people explore consciousness and experience by drawing on philosophy, psychology and spirituality and using yoga, breath work and intelligent questions to create a framework for self enquiry.
.
We want to live life wholeheartedly and know that the creation of a sangha, or community, is the backbone to achieving this.
.
With this in mind, we’d love to know what topics you’d like to explore on the subject of what it means to be human. Feel free to drop ideas in the comments, or email us at howtobeschool@gmail.com
.
We look forward to growing with you!
